Philosophy

At AMD, we believe the spaces we live and work in profoundly shape our daily lives and well-being. Our mission is rooted in the idea that everyone deserves access to thoughtful, beautiful, and functional design—because great design isn’t just a luxury, it’s a necessity for a thriving life.

My Story

I was born and raised in Memphis, TN, a city renowned for its vibrant music scene and equally dynamic visual arts culture. Growing up surrounded by such creativity, I was inspired to explore the arts from an early age. By high school, I had immersed myself in experimenting with a wide variety of artistic mediums, laying the foundation for my future career.

Eager to refine my craft, I pursued a Bachelor’s degree at the Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD), majoring in Industrial Design with a minor in Graphic Design. My time at SCAD sharpened my creative vision and technical skills, and after graduation, I moved to Atlanta, GA, to begin my professional journey as an Industrial Designer for Altium, one of the nation’s largest packaging manufacturers and recyclers.

While I thrived in industrial design, I found myself yearning for new challenges and a fresh perspective. This led me back to SCAD, this time at the Atlanta campus, where I embarked on a Master’s program in Interior Design. A year into the program, I joined Niles Bolton Associates (NBA), one of Atlanta's leading architecture firms. Juggling the demands of full-time work alongside the intense rigor of my coursework was a challenge, but my perseverance paid off when I earned my Master’s degree just one year later. Over the following five years, I had the privilege of contributing to an impressive range of projects at NBA, including corporate offices, multifamily complexes, government facilities, private aviation terminals, and non-profit spaces—spanning both renovations and new construction.

In 2023, I achieved national certification as an interior designer, a milestone that reignited my entrepreneurial spirit. Inspired to work more closely with individuals and smaller-scale companies, I founded Anne Mason Design (AMD) in March 2024. My mission is simple yet impactful: to make high-quality design accessible to clients of all budgets. At AMD, I help people and businesses transform their spaces into environments that inspire, nurture, and elevate daily living.

Interior design is often perceived as a luxury, but I believe that beautiful, functional spaces should be accessible to everyone. The places we inhabit profoundly influence our mental health and overall well-being, and my goal is to ensure that my clients, no matter the scope of their projects, experience the peace and joy that thoughtful design can bring.

Form Follows Function

Design has been my lifelong passion—it shapes how I think, see, and experience the world around me. For me, it’s not just about creating beauty; it’s about crafting spaces where form and function come together to create truly unforgettable experiences.

Every project begins with my clients—my greatest source of inspiration. By diving deep into your lifestyle, desires, and needs, I uncover the unique solutions that will bring your vision to life. With my Industrial Design background, I approach every challenge with a “function-first” mindset, ensuring the spaces we create are as purposeful as they are stunning. Together, we’ll design a world that reflects who you are and how you live!
