AMD

Philosophy

At AMD, we believe the spaces we live and work in profoundly shape our daily lives and well-being. Our mission is rooted in the idea that everyone deserves access to thoughtful, beautiful, and functional design—because great design isn’t just a luxury, it’s a necessity for a thriving life.

My Story

I was born and raised in Memphis, TN. Many know Memphis to be a big music city, but it is also famous for its unique visual arts scene. All of this creativity inspired me to be an artist myself and by the time I was in high school, I had been experimenting with art mediums of all kinds. I was very excited to attend Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD) for my Bachelor’s degree, where I majored in Industrial Design and minored in Graphic Design. After graduation I quickly moved to Atlanta, GA and become an Industrial Designer for Altium, one of the largest packaging manufacturers (and recyclers!) in the country.

While I loved being an Industrial Designer, I had a yearning for a change of scenery. I applied to SCAD Atlanta’s Interior Design Masters program and launched a brand new career path. After many late nights and two years of hard work, I was hired by Niles Bolton Associates, one of the top architecture firms in Atlanta. Over the next five years I loved working on corporate offices, multifamily complexes, government offices, private aviation terminals, and non-profit projects, both as renovations and new builds.

After becoming a fully licensed interior designer in 2023, I began to feel a pull to work with individuals and smaller scaled companies. This led me to opening my own firm, Anne Mason Design (AMD) this past March. I now proudly help individuals and businesses discover creative solutions to their spaces, no matter the project size. The main philosophy behind AMD is to deliver a high level of design to clients of all budgets. Many believe that Interior Designers are a luxury, but that does not have to be the case. The spaces we inhabit play an integral role in our daily lives and mental health, and I believe that everyone deserves to have access to that peace.

Form Follows Function

Design has been my lifelong passion—it shapes how I think, see, and experience the world around me. For me, it’s not just about creating beauty; it’s about crafting spaces where form and function come together to create truly unforgettable experiences.

Every project begins with you—my greatest source of inspiration. By diving deep into your lifestyle, desires, and needs, I uncover the unique solutions that will bring your vision to life. With my Industrial Design background, I approach every challenge with a “function-first” mindset, ensuring the spaces we create are as purposeful as they are stunning. Together, we’ll design a world that reflects who you are and how you live.
