From Fabric to Finish: The Art of Creating the Charleston Room
Final Styling for the Charleston Room: A Celebration of Colonial Elegance
Our founder and lead designer, Anne, is putting the finishing touches on the Charleston Room, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to share the details of this stunning project. With its classic yet vibrant design, this space embodies the timeless charm of Colonial-inspired interiors while feeling perfectly suited for modern living.
At the heart of the room is the exquisite fabric used for the bedding and canopy, sourced from Tarpley, Thompson & Co in Colonial Williamsburg. Featuring delicate vine and flower motifs with subtle pink undertones, the fabric exudes historical authenticity while adding a soft, inviting touch. This fabric seamlessly ties in with the beautiful Mokum Papillon wallpaper, which creates a serene backdrop with its intricate pattern and muted palette. Together, these elements establish a cohesive and elegant design narrative.
The Charleston Room is a testament to the art of thoughtful curation. Every detail, from the historically inspired textiles to the carefully selected wallpaper, has been chosen to create a harmonious and immersive environment. Anne’s attention to detail and commitment to quality shine through in this final styling stage, where the interplay of patterns and textures brings the room to life.
This project highlights how incorporating timeless materials and motifs can transform a space into something truly unique and personal. We can’t wait for the final reveal—stay tuned for more images showcasing the Charleston Room in all its finished glory!
