Honoring the Past
Styling the Charleston Room, with a Nod to Colonial Williamsburg
Our founder and lead designer, Anne, has been hard at work putting the final touches on the Charleston Room, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with the results. This space is a beautiful marriage of history and design, transporting the homeowners to the charm and elegance of early American colonial life.
The focal point of this vignette is undoubtedly the stunning Colonial Williamsburg-inspired wall sconces. Their intricate filigree detailing perfectly complements the Mokum wallpaper, which adds depth and sophistication with its timeless pattern. The delicate interplay of light and texture creates a warm and inviting ambiance that instantly draws you into the space.
To complete the look, Anne incorporated Braganza Blue ceramics on the side table, adding a layer of rich, historical character. These ceramics not only serve as eye-catching decor but also tie the room’s palette together, grounding the space with a sense of authenticity. The attention to detail in every element—from the materials to the placement—is what makes this room feel like stepping into another era.
Styling a room like this is about more than aesthetics; it’s about creating a narrative. Each piece contributes to the story of the early American colonists, making the space feel both personal and timeless.
We’re so excited for the homeowners to enjoy their beautifully curated Charleston Room, a space that honors the past while providing comfort and style for today.
