Designing with Intention: Behind the Transformation of Loria Ansley
From exposed framing to grand reveal, the Loria Ansley project stands as a celebration of what’s possible when every detail is grounded in intention. Located in the heart of Atlanta, this project was brought to life while Anne was an interior designer at Niles Bolton Associates, and it remains one of our favorite transformations to date.
The vision for Loria was simple yet ambitious: to design a space that feels elegant, nature-inspired, and thoughtfully attuned to the people who would use it every day. From the earliest construction walk-throughs to the final styling touches, every element was considered not just for aesthetics—but for purpose and experience.
A Space That Serves and Inspires
We approached Loria as more than a lobby—it needed to be a welcoming hub, a place where tenants could pause, connect, and feel cared for. This meant every layout decision needed to flow naturally and support functionality, whether someone was waiting for a rideshare, chatting with the front desk, or simply admiring the art throughout.
The stunning light fixture in the main atrium was custom designed to create visual movement and draw the eye upward, adding energy and warmth to the expansive space. Its sculptural quality nods to basic geometric and organic shapes—setting the tone for a palette that’s both grounded and refined.
Inspired by Nature, Rooted in Comfort
Natural materials played a central role in the design story. Rich wood tones, soft stone textures, and curved forms were layered to create a sense of calm and approachability. Even the seating and accessories were selected to enhance comfort, whether tenants are passing through or spending time with guests in the lobby.
The curved reception desk—with its ribbed metal texture and underlighting—anchors the space with softness and sophistication. Paired with modern art moments, greenery, and acoustically considerate finishes, the overall effect is one of effortless elegance with a human touch.
From Framing to Finish Line
It’s always rewarding to look back at how far a space has come. Swipe through the project photos and you’ll see snapshots from early walkthroughs—blueprints, steel framing, ductwork—and then watch it transform into a fully realized environment!
Projects like Loria remind us why we love what we do: transforming blank slates into meaningful, impactful places that people are proud to call home.
